Servings: 4 serving

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 can of sliced pineapples, drained
  • 1-2 teaspoon granulated sugar optional

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  • To start, pat the pork chops dry then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a frying pan, cook the pork chops until fully cooked. While the pork chops are cooking make the sauce.
  • When the pork chops are almost finished searing in the pan, lower the heat to medium to medium-low then add in the sauce. Allow it to bubble and baste the pork chops in the sauce. Allow them to slowly finish cooking in the sauce.
  • While those are finished then cooling make the sliced pineapple. In a small pan add the slices to the pan on medium-high heat and allow the water to release from them. When the pan gets dry add in a little oil and about 1-2 teaspoons of sugar (optional) then allow the sugar to caramelize on the pineapples. After things are golden remove them.
  • Serve the Hawaiian pork chops with the sauce and caramelized pineapple slices with rice or roasted veggies.
