Hawaiian pork chops made right in on the stove top in a sweet and tangy sauce then topped with caramelized pineapples. A simple recipe, that's quick and easy for a weeknight.
To start, pat the pork chops dry then season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a frying pan, cook the pork chops until fully cooked. While the pork chops are cooking make the sauce.
When the pork chops are almost finished searing in the pan, lower the heat to medium to medium-low then add in the sauce. Allow it to bubble and baste the pork chops in the sauce. Allow them to slowly finish cooking in the sauce.
While those are finished then cooling make the sliced pineapple. In a small pan add the slices to the pan on medium-high heat and allow the water to release from them. When the pan gets dry add in a little oil and about 1-2 teaspoons of sugar (optional) then allow the sugar to caramelize on the pineapples. After things are golden remove them.
Serve the Hawaiian pork chops with the sauce and caramelized pineapple slices with rice or roasted veggies.
