Equipment

  • air fryer or wired oven rack

Ingredients

  • 1 pound russet potatoes, sliced thinly about 2 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • First, slice the russet potatoes into french fries. You can leave the skin on, simply wash the potato first. Try to slice the French fries thinly, avoid thick steak cut fries for the best texture.
  • Now, oil the fries well and then add the seasonings. Do not add salt at this step. It'll draw water from the potatoes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400℉. Once heated, lay the fries in the basket without stacking them. The typical air fryer should fit one serving of fries.
  • Cook the fries for 15 minutes and shake them halfway through the cook.
  • When finish, transfer them to a plate then add the shredded parmesan cheese, parsley then salt to taste once they've cooled a little. Note, freshly shredded parmesan is best and produces the strongest flavor.
