Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced chicken breast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock or broth
  • 2 teaspoon corn starch
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic

Instructions

  • Season chicken with salt, black pepper and garlic powder. The measurements above are rough measurements. With any recipe always salt to taste.
  • In a skillet on medium high heat add a little oil to pan. Carefully place chicken breast in hot oil and sear both sides.
  • When chicken is almost cooked through make a space in the center of the pan and toss in the minced garlic. Move it around in the oil a little but dont burn it. Lower the heat.
  • Now add in broth and corn starch mix onto chicken. It'll thicken almost immedietly. Right after you pour the broth add in your butter. Mix sauce with spoon.
  • Allow the chicken to simmer in this sauce for about 2 minutes. Be sure to flip so both sides get sauce.
  • Check to make sure chicken is cooked through then serve and garnish with fresh herbs. I used parsley in the photos. I had 4 pieces of chicken in my recipe. Nutrition facts are based off of 4 pieces.

Notes

Helpful Recipe Tips

  • Chicken stock or broth, you can use either in this recipe. Honestly, you can even swap it out for water. Of course, the broth or stock will bring far more flavor.
  • Minced garlic, freshly chopped garlic can work as well in this recipe.
  • Lower heat, before adding in the chicken stock with cornstarch lower your heat. If it's up too high it will burn and that'll destroy the whole dish.
