Crockpot steak bites are great for easy to make tender bites of steak. This recipe is great for a simple dinner or serving at a potluck as a great starter.
First, remove the steak from the package and slice the steak into bites or cubes. Season the steak bites with salt and black pepper. I find coarse pepper works best but use what you have.
Next in a pan on high heat with a little oil, sear one or two sides of the steak bites. No need to stress searing all the sides that's necessary work.
Place the seared steak bites in the crockpot. Measure out the beef broth and in the measuring cup mix in the au jus gravy mix with garlic powder. Pour in with the steak.
Then, add in Worcestershire sauce and sliced onions. Cook on high for 2-3 hours. This recipe works fine cooking the bites to well done due to the liquid. But, if you want medium or less simply monitor them bites but you'll still need least 2 hours.
When steak is done, add in butter and stir it into the dish. Lastly, taste for salt before serving but you should be fine if you seasoned while preparing the ingredients.
