Equipment

  • Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 14 ounce can of condensed milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 12 ounce pack of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • First, in a small pot on the stove add in 2 cups of milk. Heat the milk at medium heat, you only want steam, there should be no bubbles or simmering.
  • Next, add in the cocoa powder and mix until it melts in the warm milk. Once the milk has turned chocolate remove it from the heat.
  • In the crockpot, add the heated chocolate milk, the other 4 cups of milk, heavy cream, condensed milk, chocolate chips and vanilla.
  • Place the crockpot on low for 2 hours and be sure to stir occasionally to properly melt the chocolate chips.
  • When hot chocolate has melted together serve with marshmallows, top with whipped cream or both. While serving to keep it hot simply place it on the warm setting and stir occasionally.
