Ingredients
 

  • 1.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg
  • 4 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1.5 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • To start, preheat the waffle iron.
  • Now, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and sugar together. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs the gradually add in the butter then milk until smooth. Combine the dry and wet ingredients.
  • Spray the waffle iron with a little cooking spray then pour the waffle batter. Cook until golden brown and crispy. Tip, allow the waffle iron to reheat between waffles for the best results.
  • When waffles are done, serve them quickly or put on an oven safe wire rack. If you place them on a plate or stack them they will be soft by the time you try to serve them.
