Preheat the oven to 350℉.
Mix the mashed bananas with the sugar. Then, add in the eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract and buttermilk. In a separate bowl, toss in the flour, salt and baking soda. Combine the dry and wet ingredients.
In a lined loaf pan, pour the banana bread batter. Place in the oven for 40-50 minutes or until fully cooked through the center. You can take a toothpick through the center to test. It'll come out clean when the bread is done.
Remove from the oven and allow to fully cool before slicing and serving.
