Season the pork chops on both sides with the brown sugar, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, and black pepper.
In a small bowl, mix together the ½ cup brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch until combined.
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear until golden on both sides.
Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.
Reduce the heat to low, then pour the brown sugar glaze mixture into the pan and stir.
Quickly return the pork chops to the pan and spoon some of the glaze over the top.
Cover the pan and allow the pork chops to simmer on low heat until cooked through.
Once the pork chops are done, remove the pan from the heat and let them cool slightly before serving.
