Ingredients

  • 1 cup cheese curds
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Flour mix

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Breading

  • 1 cup panko
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • First, make three stations for flouring, egg wash and breading. Cheese curds come in all shapes and sizes but I recommend the bigger ones for this recipe. Flour the cheese curd, dip into the egg wash and remove any excess, then cover with the breading. Pat the breading into the cheese curd if possible to get more on top.
  • Now, place the breaded cheese curds on a plate. Allow them to absorb the egg into the breading. After a minute or so spray them on both sides with cooking spray.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350℉.
  • Place the cheese curds in the basket. Do not stack them but you can crowd them a little because you will not be flipping them.
  • Air fry for 4-5 minutes or until there is some browning and the cheese has started to leak out a little. Remove the basket and allow them to cool before taking them out of the air fryer basket. This will allow the cheese to harden a little so you can easily handle them.
