Ingredients

  • 5 jalapeno pepper, halved & deseeded
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 8 ounce cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • First, mix the cheeses for the filling and add in the chives. Then split the peppers and remove the stems and seeds.
  • Now, spoon the filling into the split jalapenos. Make sure it’s smooth across the top. You can’t have a heap of filling over the edges due to the next step.
  • Wrap a piece of bacon around each jalapeno popper.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375℉.
  • Place the poppers in the preheated air fryer for 14 minutes. Around the 12 minutes mark start to keep a check on them. Do not crowd them because you will not flip them, and the air will need to circulate around the poppers to cook the bacon on the bottom.
  • Once the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are finished let them cool a bit. Be careful because the outside will cool and the inside filling will still be extremely hot.
