First, remove the chicken from the package and pat it dry if needed. If using full seized chicken breast you will need to prep them first. Flatten them out or slice them in half to make the center thinner.
Preheat the oven to 400℉.
In a bag, smash up a sleeve of ritz crackers. You will want them to be crumbled well with no big chunks of the crackers.
Then, set up a breading station. You'll need a egg wash, flour and breading area.
Now, lightly season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Next, dip the breast into the flour mixture.
Then, into the egg wash and lastly into the breading. Make sure the chicken is covered well in the ritz crackers crumbs.
Now, on a greased sheet pan lay the breaded chicken breast down. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. The chicken should be completely cooked through at this point.
Note, if the chicken is too thick they will need additional time. There is no need to flip the chicken while in the oven. Once the chicken is done, allow to cool a bit before serving.
Notes
If you buy thin cuts of chicken you will need to increase the breading amount.
