I suggest seasoning your ground meat with salt and pepper beforehand. You don't have to but it does make a difference in flavor. 1/2 tsp of salt and pepper is fine.
In a sauce pan on medium heat add olive oil then add in tomato paste. Cook out the paste for a few seconds then pour in tomato sauce.
Monitor heat and make sure it isn't bubbling too much. If it is remove from heat or lower heat quickly. A little stock/broth will help as well.
Add in your seasonings along with sweeteners. Mix well
Toss in ground beef, reduce to simmer and cook until done. As you see in the video it's easy to tell when it's done. Push a little pass done on simmer for about 5-10 minutes to really soak in flavors.
