Ingredients

Turkey

Rice

  • 1 cup wild rice, dry
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube

Carrots

  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  • To start, you need to put the rice on first because it will take the longest to cook. This is if you plan to eat a bowl while everything is still fresh.
  • Follow the instructions on the package for the wild rice, but break up and toss the bouillon cube in the water before adding in the rice. This is all the flavor you'll need for the rice.
  • Next, mix together the seasoning for the ground turkey. In a skillet, brown the ground turkey then add all the seasonings at the end.
  • Now, you can use the same pan for the carrots, carefully wipe it clean.
  • Then, with the carrots on a medium high heat add them into the pan with a little oil. Once the carrots have soften and become fragrant add in the soy sauce and the brown sugar. Once the sugar melts turn off the heat and remove the carrots from the pan.
  • Lastly, once the wild rice is done combine everything and there will be a perfect balance of flavors from each of the ingredients used, enjoy.
