First, prep all the ingredients. Then, chop up the bacon and cook the bacon in a pot. Leave all the bacon fat in the dish when you remove the cooked bacon.
Now, add in the onion and garlic. Have the heat around medium high so it's not too hot. Season with salt and pepper as you go.
Once the onions and garlic have brown and are fragrant add in the flour and mix in with the ingredients.
Next, pour in the chicken broth. Then add in the chopped potatoes and green beans over the top.
Lower the heat to medium to medium low and cover with a lid. The green beans and potatoes will slowly cook for 20-30 minutes but come back and give them a stir and check the heat about every 5 minutes or so.
When the potatoes are tender the recipe is finished. Lastly, add bacon back in and taste for salt and pepper before serving.
