Equipment

  • 9x9 baking dish

Ingredients

  • 45 ounce canned peaches drained
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1.5 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 17.5 ounce Grands! Cinnamon rolls
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 packet icing included with refrigerated cinnamon rolls

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉.
  • In a bowl, add the drained peaches, cornstarch, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix everything together then add them into the baking dish.
  • Slice the grand cinnamon rolls into about 1/2 inch thick. See photo, then lay them out across the top of the peaches.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls have baked up and are golden. Remove from oven and pour the melted butter across the cinnamon rolls, doesn't have to be perfect.
  • Next, spread the icing across the cinnamon rolls. Allow the dessert to cool a little because the peaches will be extremely hot, then serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Drain the canned peaches well before mixing them with the sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch to keep the filling from becoming too runny.
  • Grands! cinnamon rolls create the best presentation because their larger size forms a beautiful bakery-style topping, but any refrigerated cinnamon rolls will work.
  • For beautifully golden cinnamon rolls, whisk together 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of milk and lightly brush the tops before baking.
  • The melted butter is optional, but it's highly recommended. It adds the rich, buttery flavor that's often associated with homemade peach cobbler.
  • Allow the cobbler to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. The peach filling will be extremely hot straight from the oven and will thicken slightly as it cools.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the ultimate dessert.
