Banana bars are a great recipe to use your ripe bananas. A hybrid of banana bread and banana blondies these easy banana bars are loaded with sweet bananas, chocolate chips and walnuts!
Cream the butter and the brown sugar together. Then, mix in the mashed bananas. Now add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
Combine the dry and wet ingredients until almost combined before adding in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Finish mixing in the remaining flour after adding your mix ins.
Add the batter to a lined baking pan. Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out the center clean.
Allow to cool for 20-25 minutes before cutting and serving, enjoy.
