First, remove the salmon fillets and season with coarse salt and black pepper. There will be enough glaze for two fillets.
In a frying pan on medium high heat cook the salmon searing both sides until fully cooked. While the salmon is cooking mix together the brown sugar and the balsamic vinegar.
Now, when the salmon is done cooking lower the heat to medium and make sure all the oil is out of the pan. Place the salmon in the oven on a low setting to keep it warm.
Add in the glaze and let and let bubble up and simmer for a few minutes. Stir occasionally but it's need a little time to allow the heat to evaporate the water in the vinegar. While stirring you'll notice it start to thicken. When it's to the point it coats the back of the spoon well the glaze is done.
The glaze is hot and will still be very liquid-like but you can tell a difference visually with how much thicker it became while you were stirring. It will get much thicker when cold but that's only if you make it ahead of time.
Now, when glaze is ready grab the salmon and drizzle the glaze across the top. The glaze is very tangy and sweet, a little goes a long way. Drizzle similar as you see in the photos.
