2tablespooncornstarch(add to 2 cups of chicken broth)
2tablespoonheavy cream(add at the end of cooking not during the cook)
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 300F.
First, whip together the ingredients for the spice rub. Remove the turkey from the packaging and cover the turkey legs heavily in the spice rub.
Slice up the green bell pepper and onion. Lay the seasoned turkey legs in the baking dish.
Then, place the sliced peppers and onions around the turkey legs.
Now, on the sides of the baking dish add in the chicken broth. If you'd like to make gravy later with the drippings mix the cornstarch with the broth before adding it into the dish.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for one hour. Remove the foil and bake a remaining 30 minutes.
Lastly, allow to cool a bit before serving. If you added cornstarch, remove the turkey wings and season the gravy with salt pepper and add some heavy cream for extra flavor.
