Avocado tuna salad is loaded with great protein from the tuna with a welcoming creaminess from the avocado bites. A super fresh flavored salad with no mayo but a mix of fresh lime juice and olive oil!
Drain the water from the canned tuna as well as possible.
Cut avocados into cubes, slice the cucumber and dice the onion
Add everything into a mixing bowl. Squeeze a lime and pour olive oil across the top. Sprinkle salt and pepper as well.
Give the salad a toss then taste for salt. You may want more I try to be careful how much I suggest because some people are more sensitive to it.
Notes
How to cut an avocado?
Don't be worried it's far easier than you think. Place the avocado upright and you'll notice it has a sort of bulb shape. Slice the avocado down the long way. About half way you'll hit the seed so cut around that. Now, on the cut line is done give the avocado a simple twist to separate the two pieces. Take the knife and with a light swing at the seed. Now, you can simply twist the knife to remove the seed. Take a butter knife not a shape one and cut the cubes while it's still in the outside shell. Lastly, take a spoon and dig all the cut cubes out. Thats's it!You can also use cubed avocados that are frozen as well. Simply thaw them and serve!
