Ingredients
 

  • 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
  • 32 ounces beef or chicken broth
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes and green chilis, drained & rinsed
  • 2 packets taco seasoning
  • 4 tostados, crumbled
  • Mexican cheese & cilantro for garnish

Instructions
 

  • First, in a sauce pan or pot on medium high heat, add a little oil and cook the hamburger meat. Cook the meat all the way through.
  • Then, toss in the Rotel tomatoes and green chilis after you drained and rinsed them. Next, empty 2 taco seasoning packets into the pot.
  • Now, pour in the broth. Bring to a boil and cover then allow the taco soup to simmer for 15 minutes. This will give the starched in the taco seasoning time to thicken the soup.
  • In a small bowl, serve the taco soup with crumbled tostados with cheese and cilantro as a garnish. You should not need to add more salt but always taste to make sure before serving.
