First, in a sauce pan or pot on medium high heat, add a little oil and cook the hamburger meat. Cook the meat all the way through.
Then, toss in the Rotel tomatoes and green chilis after you drained and rinsed them. Next, empty 2 taco seasoning packets into the pot.
Now, pour in the broth. Bring to a boil and cover then allow the taco soup to simmer for 15 minutes. This will give the starched in the taco seasoning time to thicken the soup.
In a small bowl, serve the taco soup with crumbled tostados with cheese and cilantro as a garnish. You should not need to add more salt but always taste to make sure before serving.
