Ingredients

  • 12 ounce macaroni elbow pasta
  • 3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 12 ounce evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounce block sharp cheddar cheese, grated makes 2 cups
  • 8 ounce block mozzarella cheese, grated makes 2 cups
  • 4 ounce parmesan cheese, grated makes 1 cup
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoon paprika
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  • Now, grate the cheeses before starting going to the next steps. In a pot or sauce pan, melt the butter on medium heat then add in the flour.
  • Cook and whisk the flour and butter for at least 2 minutes. Then, slowly pour in the evaporated milk a little at a time. The flour will clump at first but no worries it's fine.
  • Next, slowly pour in the heavy cream as well. Then, toss in the seasonings.
  • Afterwards, gradually add in half the sharp cheddar and mozzarella. Turn off the stove once the cheese has combine into the sauce.
  • Now, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. When the pasta is ready drain it, do not rinse, then immediately toss it into the cheese sauce.
  • After stirring the macaroni with the cheese sauce add half into a baking dish. Layer the mozzarella cheese on top then add the rest of the macaroni in the dish. Top off the baking dish with a mix of the cheddar cheese and parmesan and place in then oven for 25 minutes.
  • To finish the dish, place on broil to brown the cheese even more then remove from oven. Allow the dish to cool before serving then enjoy.
