Keto Fathead Dough Calzone

Fathead dough has been adapted to pizza crust, bagels, hot pockets, you name it! Now this recipe turns fathead dough into a calzone. Stuffed with chicken, american, and provolone cheese, onion, also sprinkled with hot sauce. A perfect copycat to a famous pizza.

Ingredients
 

Fathead dough calzone

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Xanthan gum (I used this)
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Buffalo chicken fill ins

  • 3 slices american cheese
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • pre cooked Perdue chicken from bag
  • slivered or diced onion
  • hot sauce to taste (I used Frank's red hot as Domino's does)

Instructions
 

  • combine dry almond flour, coconut flour, xanthan gum, baking powder and mix
  • Add in egg
  • Add in all mozzarella cheese and on low heat begin to melt the cheese slowly
  • After cheese has melted enough pull off and begin to roll the dough with your hands
  • After dough is combined roll into ball and cut into 4th's or 3rd's . whichever size you desire
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Place between parchment paper and roll piece into a circle
  • After rolled out thinly but not so then it breaks when you try to pick it up you can proceed to stuff with your fill ins
  • pinch and seal all your edges or roll them over as I did that helps too
  • Make slits in dough to allow venting so your corners won't pop open
  • With oven at 350 degrees F bake for about 20 minutes keeping an eye out for the browning of the dough
  • After cooking allow to cool since contents will be hot then enjoy
